Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010

ISA 2006 다음 버전을 묻는 분이 있어 확인을 해 봤다. Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010로 개명 되었다.  예전에 Microsoft에서 들은 바로는 Forefront 제품군(?) 에 대한 얘기가 많더니 쏙 포함이 되었다.

Microsoft 제품을 많이 다룬다면 Forefront 제품군을 확인 해 둘만 하겠다.

Windows 7의 그 다음 불만

Windows 2008 R2 쓰다가 Windows 7 x64로 옮기고 생각지 않았던 이슈가 나오는 구만...
CMAK(Connection Manager Administration Kit)을 설치하려 했는 데....안된다고...

The Connection Manager Administration Kit (CMAK) is an optional component that is not installed by default. You must install CMAK to create connection profiles that your users can install to access remote networks.

Important
You must use a computer running a version of Windows with the same processor architecture as the clients on which you want to install the profile. A 32-bit connection profile can be created on and installed on a 32-bit version of Windows only. A 64-bit connection profile can be created on and installed on a 64-bit version of Windows only.

Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.

Use the following procedure to install CMAK on a computer that is running the 64-bit version of Windows Server 2008 R2. Profiles that you create with this version of CMAK can be used only on computers that are running a 64-bit version of Windows. You cannot install CMAK onto a computer running a 64-bit version of Windows 7.

Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7

Windows 7 환경 하에 MMC를 통해 서버 관리가 필요해서 찾게 되었다. 예전 Windows 2003의 경우 AdminPak이라고 했던 것 같은 데 이름이 바뀐 것 같다.
참. 설치하면 자동으로 추가 되는 것은 없다. 한참 찾았다...ㅋㅋㅋ
프로그램 추가 삭제....잘 보면 있다.

Windows 7의 가장 큰 불만

Windows 7은 Windows Virtual PC와 Windows XP Mode 등을 제공한다.
시스템 엔지니어라면 Windows 2008 R2 는 x64만 제공되는 사실과 Windows Virtual PC는 x64 가상 환경이 지원되지 않는 문제를 알고 있을 것이다.

iTunes 와 Outlook 2010 x64 Beta와 Contacts, Calendar 연동 문제

남들은 iPhone, 안드로이드폰 얘기하며 모바일 세상에 빠져 드는 데 난 없다. 그래도 할 수 없어 iPod nano에 연락처와 일정 넣으면 어떨까 해서 연동 하려 하는 데

iTunes 에서 제공하는 Add-Ins인 iTunes Outlook Addin은 32bit만 지원하여 Outlook 2010 x64 Beta에서 동작하지 않는다고....

인내가 필요하다.

Windows 7 에 VHD를 이용해 멀티 OS설치하기

Windows 를 쓰면서 새로운 버전이 나올 때마다 나오는 얘기가 있다.
새 술은 새 부대에... 하며 검증도 안되고 지원하는 드라이버도 없는 환경 하에 도전하여 낭패를 본 경우가 많았다.
또 하나 강하게 비추한 게 있다면 멀티 부팅 하는 것 !!!
Windows 7 이후에 나오는 OS라면 이제는 VHD를 이용하여 멀티 부팅이 가능하니 어떤 새로운 OS가 나와도 도전해 볼만 하다.

USB 메모리로 Windows 7 설치하기

DVD보다 빠른 설치로 이젠 ODD가 필요 없는 듯... ISO이미지만 있으면 Windows7, Windows 2008 설치 간편하게 해결~. 단. USB메모리가 4GB 정도는 되어야 할 듯. 연휴 끝나고 ODD 떼 버려야 겠다.^^
